Barre in the Village
This classic body-slimming workout is inspired by modern dance, classical ballet, centering yoga, and core-focused Pilates. Studio B combines the techniques of ballet, freedom of modern dance, mind-body connection of yoga, and core integration of Pilates to help you achieve the strong and slim dancer’s body. Studio B’s unique method, created exclusively by founder Nancy Brown after finding standard barre classes too repetitive to produce the amazing results her clients desired, helps you maximize your body’s potential by alternating between full body and isolated movements. This method produces long, lean, toned muscles, through isometric holds and a combination of small and full range controlled movements. Because Studio B instructors never teach the same class twice, you can always expect new and challenging exercises when you walk into the welcoming German Village Studio. Fun, upbeat playlists hand-selected by the individual instructors inspire your every move. Studio B regulars swear by this classic class for the way it transforms their tummy, arms, thighs, and hips into a sexy-silhouette! After an hour of this calorie-burning, low-impact workout, you’ll leave our studio feeling strong, energized, centered, and confident.
Cardio Interval Barre*
This pulse-pounding class will sculpt you into killer shape. Cardio Interval Barre takes the beloved barre classics and builds upon that foundation with cardio intervals sure to increase your heart rate, torch calories, and keep you “working” during active recovery. The class promises an effective full-body workout with a series of moves at the barre and mat. You’ll end class with deep stretching to create those long and lean muscles you desire. This intermediate workout allows you to increase your weekly cardio activity while continuing to tone and lengthen your body. If you’re looking for a fast paced, fat-blasting series inspired by your favorite barre moves, Cardio Barre is for you!
*We strongly recommend a minimum of 3 regular barre classes before joining this high intensity class.
A spin off of our classic, Barre in the Village class, Express Barre is a fast-paced class designed to get you in and out in 45 minutes, while still providing a full body, high intensity workout. Perfect for even the busiest Barre Addict, Express Barre implements Studio B’s signature body-slimming method, producing strong, lean muscles. Like our other class offerings, each Express Barre class is unique, featuring new, challenging exercises, upbeat music and a highly qualified instructor in tune with your needs and your body. If you love a good early morning workout and are always short on time, this class is for you! You’ll leave our studio feeling strong, energized and ready to tackle your day!
Studio B Classes – What You Need to Know
- Please arrive a minimum of 10 minutes early to prepare for class.
- If you are unable to attend a class that you have registered for, please cancel your reservation at least 4 hours before class begins. If you fail to do so, you will lose the session (if you have a class pack) or will be charged a $20 Late Charge Fee (if you have an unlimited package). Many of our classes have people on the wait list that would love your spot!
- As a courtesy to yourself and others, please turn your phone off during class and keep chitchat to a minimum. We’re sure you’ll notice that Studio B ladies LOVE to catch up with each other before and after class!
