Studio B changes lives. I know, because it has changed mine. I was a runner for 7 years but I didn't really like it (okay I kind of hated it) and did not see results. I ran in order to offset sins of food and drink. After just 30 days at Studio B, I knew I had found something special. The workouts themselves are fun, challenging, and frequently changed, so as to ensure continuous progress.
I've been doing barre for two years and every workout still challenges me – I frequently come home with sore muscles (which I love!) More importantly – it works! I've lost 20 pounds and 2 sizes. But the special part, the reason I keep coming back, is Nancy, the instructors and the other women I work out with. It is a supportive environment that no matter your fitness level or size, everyone is accepted, encouraged, and truly part of the community.
I cannot measure what I have gained in self-confidence and love for myself as a result of being part of this community. Studio B has become my second home. It is a place that I always look forward to coming to and I’m always sad when I have to miss a workout and my "barre girls". It is hard to put it into words what it is like to come here, you need to experience for yourself. I promise you will not be sorry!
Coming to Studio B is one of the things I look forward to the most each week! Regardless of my mood or how stressed I am with life that day; I always leave with a smile and a better attitude. In addition to a killer workout, the amazing people have kept me coming back. Nancy is one of the most caring people I've ever met and she quickly becomes like one of your best friends, always asking how you are, making you laugh and generally going above and beyond what a barre instructor normally does. She is an inspiration to me.
Also, I have met so many beautiful, smart, caring women at Studio B! The sense of fun and community that is present cannot be found at many other studios, trust me. It excites me to be a part of such an amazing network of women that have become my friends over the past two years. Studio B pushes me to be better physically and mentally, to love myself and to be grateful for those around me. I love it!
I tried Studio B for the first time over two and a half years ago. I was overwhelmed and stressed out at work and I needed an outlet (other than shopping and/or a big glass of wine). Group fitness has always intimidated me, and although I had heard great things about Studio B, I was nervous about trying it. A friend convinced me to join her for a class, and within minutes of walking in the door, I could tell that this group fitness studio was different than others I had tried. The studio owner, Nancy, was welcoming, warm, and encouraging, as were the other women in the class. After just a few classes, I was hooked. This magical little studio has been truly life changing for me. The instructors are engaging, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the practice - offering individualized adjustments and modifications to cater to clients with everything from a sore back, to a stress fracture, to an expanding baby bump.
While the atmosphere before and after class is more social (in a great way) than other studios I've tried, when it's time to get to business, the room is focused and intentional (most of the time - on occasion, it is necessary to dance, sing, laugh or cry (just kidding -no crying) during class). While the positive studio environment has certainly contributed to my continued patronage, the results are what truly keep me coming back. When Nancy says, "it works", she speaks the truth. I could go on for days about this gem of studio. It has been a beautiful addition to my routine, and I look forward to every class I take - everything, from the space, to the water, to the other participants, to the instructors, is simply, the best.

Shortly before finding Studio B, I found myself in a rut doing lots of cardio and weights with little to no results. Barre was different than anything I had ever done before and while I was skeptical at first, it was the best change I made for myself this year!
Studio B has infiltrated all aspects of my life. I love that it has given me new energy and confidence and has totally changed my physique. The other women are your biggest cheerleaders and we genuinely like each other. It is a great stress reliever because you have to focus on your form…there is nothing else that can be in your mind, you have to live in the moment right now. It’s a great connection of mind, body and spirit.
I’ve told all of my friends how great the instructors are. Nancy, Cassandra and Simi all bring something different to the table, which is refreshing. The “culture” is fantastic because everyone has a common goal and you connect on a different level, no matter if you are a stay-at-home mom, a working professional or somewhere in between. I have recruited my friends and it is so hard not to get addicted to barre. I even take it with me when I travel!
Before finding Studio B, I was working out at a large chain exercise facility and was spending 1 ½ hours per day trying to tone my body and lose weight. Cardio was my main source of exercise and I was battling with some saddlebags on my thighs. My girlfriend introduced me to Studio B and it was a completely different type of workout. It is less weight with a smaller movement, which proved to be very beneficial for me. I have gained better tone overall and no longer have the saddlebags that I so desperately was trying to get rid of. I had never been a dancer and in the beginning was a bit of a klutz, but I eventually learned the moves successfully and become much more flexible.
Studio B not only offers me a great workout with a lot of variety but also a place where I have met new friends. I really like that it is all women and everyone is so supportive of one another. We share a lot of laughs and also enjoy each other’s company outside of the studio as well.
Whenever anyone asks, I tell them about how different this studio is and how they’ll have to get accustomed to finishing a workout and not being completely sweaty and exhausted. The workout leaves me peaceful and relaxed. I love the instructors and the music really helps the time fly by. Everyone in the studio is very friendly and works to inspire each other. It is a truly special experience and I hope others will take the time to try it.

I absolutely adore Studio B. Not only are the instructors extremely knowledgeable and dedicated, they're also incredibly caring, considerate, and fun. Their enthusiasm and positive vibes are contagious, resulting in classes full of happy, friendly, supportive women. Working out at Studio B is my treat to myself, and is always a bright spot in my day.
I first came to Studio B just to add variety to an overly strenuous workout habit. But within just a few classes, Nancy and Cassandra taught me that health (and results!) comes from challenging my body in a kind, loving way. Now exercise is a gift that I give to myself, not a punishment. Studio B, and the support of my amazing "barre ladies", has not only changed my body, but also way I look at myself.
Studio B is unlike any studio I’ve ever found…and I have worked out in major cities like New York and Los Angeles. Nancy has created a unique environment with the most technically challenging classes and a beautiful and welcoming setting. Her attention to detail makes it different from any other barre studio experience. If you want to get results and meet amazing women who are fun, supportive, and easygoing, check out Studio B.
I came to Studio B as a 15 year Spinning addict, looking for something to work my aging, but aspirational, youthful body and mind. I had heard great things about Nancy, and was impressed that she had set out on her own. I was totally unprepared for the transformative experience this would be. From the first class, I LOVED the workout. It was ridiculously hard and fun. I do not have a flexible body type – and never have. I was not a dancer, am not graceful or coordinated. However, with Nancy’s outstanding instruction and the encouragement of my Barre-mates, I persevered and Barre has become my new addiction! It feeds my body, my mind and my heart. Interestingly, it never gets easier—only harder, but I love that.
This past year has been a difficult one for me personally because of family illness and loss. But Studio B has been an important sanctuary. It is a safe place, a loving place, and a place where I can be challenged, feel amazing, laugh if I need to or cry if I must. The women of Studio B are as amazing as Nancy, Simi and Cassandra.
I’ve been around a long time...from aerobics in the 80s to all sorts of gyms and fitness experiences. But no experience has so given me as much as Studio B. Plus, “me bum” is in fine shape for a woman of “a certain age!”

Studio B has made me accountable for my own health and wellness. It has motivated me to participate in every class that my schedule allows and has increased my confidence in all aspects of my life. I greatly appreciate all that Nancy and the amazing instructors give on a daily basis!
Studio B gives me the opportunity to prioritize my health and well-being. Without a doubt, I feel more energized after a class and instantly toned. There have been times that I have come to class after a particularly bad day and by the end, my entire mood has changed. It's one of the things I love the most about Studio B - knowing that an hour spent there will reverse any bad effects of the day. Studio B is the best way that I have found to take care of my mind and body.
I've been a marathoner and a Muay Thai boxer, and just assumed that getting a good workout meant an aggressive, high-impact, sweat-filled, pain-filled exercise plan. I've tried yoga, and always left wondering if I got a good workout or was doing the poses right. There had to be something in between. I took a Studio B class on a whim, thinking it would be totally silly. To my amazement, I left with all muscle groups feeling the burn without pain or absurd repetitions. The class was intentionally small so incorrect positioning was immediately fixed. And I could see my body changing within a month. Studio B is the reason I was able to get back in shape quickly after baby 1 and I'm counting on it again for baby 2!
I found Studio B shortly after it opened and have been addicted ever since, not just to the Barre method, but to Studio B. Nancy constantly changes up the classes and will customize each class based on the audience that is attending. Not many places have that capability or that investment in their clientele. I have always enjoyed working out independently, in the outdoors, mostly hiking and climbing mountains. Going to a small setting, with all women was very foreign for me. When I first joined, I was going through a lot of personal struggles and was overwhelmed by the peace that I felt just being in the space. I found that I "had” to be there. The women that I have met and the discipline of the method are greatly responsible for helping me get through a very difficult time. My closest friends and family are scattered around the world and to have found such love, generosity and a better, stronger, toned and healthier body and mind at Studio B is a gift that I will forever be grateful for.
Before I found Studio B, I had been going to the gym, but wanted something more focused than running for miles on a treadmill. Studio B has helped me to strengthen and tone. It is the total package - fabulous workout, a fun environment and a great place to meet new friends. Thank you, Nancy and team for creating such a wonderful community!
When I first started attending Studio B, I was 5 months pregnant and I had no idea what to expect. I also had no idea that 2+ years later it would be part of my routine 5 days a week. Nancy quickly welcomed me and made sure to take care of me and educate me on the appropriate modifications for my growing belly. I was instantly hooked. To say it’s addicting is probably true. Anytime you are willing to workout at 6:00 am before work, you know it’s worth it.
Barre definitely equals results, but barre at Studio B is even more. It's magnetic, inviting, challenging and motivating. The knowledge, passion and overall commitment that Nancy and her team display is evident in each and every class. Their personalities are warm and fun and could make anyone feel comfortable. The girls in class are amazing, for lack of a better word. Students, mothers and career women – all different types of beautiful women brought together by Studio B. We’ve become a chosen family and a community where we share life's beautiful moments and support one another through the ups and downs. Strong, inspired, loved, grateful and celebrated – that's how Studio B makes me feel.
